Fans of C.S. Lewis will enjoy this great historical work with commentaries on letters between great ecclesiastics on the subjects of divinity, war, the church and prayer.
In September 1947, after reading C.S. Lewis’s The Screwtape Letters in Italian, Fr. (now St.) Giovanni Calabria was moved to write the author, but he knew no English and assumed (rightly) that Lewis knew no Italian. So, he wrote his letter in Latin, hoping that, as a classicist, Lewis would know Latin. Therein began a correspondence that was to outlive Fr. Calabria himself (he died in December 1954, and was succeeded in correspondence by Fr. Luigi Pedrollo, which continued until Lewis’s own death in 1963).
Translator/editor Martin Moynihan calls these letters “limpid, fluent and deeply refreshing. There was a charm about them, too, and not least in the way they were ‘topped and tailed’ — that is, in their ever-slightly-varied formalities of address and of farewell.”
More than any other of his published works The Latin Letters shows the strong devotional side of Lewis and contains letters ranging from Christian unity and modern European history to liturgical worship and general ethical behavior.

Dios Nunca Se Da Por Vencido C – (Spanish)
Bueno, no siempre.
Dios utilizo a Jacob porque eligio utilizar a Jacob. Y punto. La palabra para tal devocion? Gracia.
God Never Gives Up on You
Ever wonder if you have one too many stumbles for God to use someone like you? If you could benefit from a tale of God’s unending, unbending, unswerving grace and devotion, then the story of Jacob is just what you need.
His Grace Never Quits is a book for the members of the Lost Halo Society. For the strugglers among us and the fumbler within us. For those of us who are part saint, part scoundrel. We mean well, but do well? Well, we don’t always. We have breakthroughs, for sure, but breakdowns as well, often in the same hour. We need no reminder of our failures. We have not forgotten them. But we could use a refresher course on God’s perfect plan to use imperfect people.
And no one is more suited to the task than Jacob, the misbehaving patriarch. He was less a prodigy and more a prodigal. Strong on savvy. Low on conscience. God used Jacob because God chose to use Jacob. Period. The word for such devotion? Grace. Grace came after Jacob. Grace found him in the desert. Grace protected him in exile. Grace wrestled him to the ground and blessed him. Grace led him home
